Christmas in July

The local school our children attend are holding a Christmas in July fete ……… These are two of the ideas I have had.  Over the next weeks I will be making many more to donate to the school.

Very simple but effective!

School Fundraiser

My oldest daugher Charlotte is in Year 6 and is off  to a school camp this year….. yikes I think I am far more worried than her.  We have started to fundraise and are holding a small activity evening for other children in the school.   I decided to make  gift tags and using small cello bags have filled them with chocolates and lollies to sell.  I have arranged some of them in this basket, and if I do say so myself it actually looks rather nice.

Cottage Garden Gift Set

I am just loving the new in colours from Stampin’ Up so I decided to have a play using the new designer papers Cottage Wall and Rich Razzleberry card stock, and this is what I came up with.

Not content with making the four cards, I thought I would try an explosion box…. which when the lid is taken off the sides of the box open up and reveal a sentiment or a gift….. a great alternative to ‘just a’ card.  I also made a trifold twist card…. which when the ribbon is undone the card twists open to reveal the cards sentiment.   Again a great alternative to ‘just a’ card.

I hope you love the colours as much as I do.

Criss Cross Box and Cards

I am very excited to show you this project, a Criss Cross Box with four matching cards.  I first saw this on the very talented Jenny Moors blog and just knew I had to make it too.  I used the same papers and inks that Jenny used as it just looks gorgeous, I am sure you will agree with me.

Scallop Circle Card

Last night I spent an enjoyable evening with fellow Stampin’ Up demonstrators at our upline Charmaine Black’s home.  Our monthly meeting theme was an ‘Open Swap’.

I just love joining in the swaps you never know what you are going to receive and all the girls are very talented.  Charmaine always prepares a lovely ‘make and take’ for all of us and this month was no exception.

Using the die cut scallop circle we made a card and embellished it with a gorgeous scallop circle punch flower.  This was the first time I had ever made one and I am now hooked…… you will probably see many more on this site from now on!!

Here was my effort….
